Riani Goodridge - The Eucalyptus House
1. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Riani, a passionate business owner and nurse from the Illawarra region in NSW. I co-own The Eucalyptus House with my husband, where we create eucalyptus-based products like bunches, diffusers, and essential oils, sourced sustainably, some even from our own backyard. I’ve been a nurse since I was 18 and have worked across various fields including mental health, aged care, operating theatres and community which has shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to business. I’m passionate about connecting people to the healing and calming properties of eucalyptus, and I love building a community around our workshops and products. The Eucalyptus House is more than a business—it's about creating a space where people can connect with nature, each other, and a shared purpose of sustainability and wellness.
2. What are you doing that your future self will be grateful for?
I’m putting my energy into building a supportive, engaged community around The Eucalyptus House. By fostering connections with people who share our values of nature, sustainability, and wellness, I’m creating a long-lasting impact. I’m focused on growing a loyal, passionate community that shares in this journey with me. My future self will be grateful for the time and care I’ve invested in creating something meaningful that goes beyond just a product—it’s a movement toward mindful living.
3. How would you describe your style in three words?
Relaxed. Natural. Engaging.
4. How do you map and track your goals?
With ADHD, I’ve developed a goal-setting style that works for me. I often jot down ideas in my "Keep Notes" app or talk them through with my husband, Michael. I like to keep things flexible, but I’m always focused on figuring out a path forward. While I may not follow a traditional goal-setting approach, I’m constantly adjusting based on the feedback and engagement we get from our community. Each idea, whether it’s a workshop or product launch, starts as a small thought that I refine over time, keeping growth and connection at the forefront.
5. If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
- David Attenborough – His connection to nature and ability to inspire people through his storytelling is something I deeply admire. I’d love to learn how he stays so passionate and curious about the world.
- The social media manager for the Paralympics TikTok page – Their content is bold, sometimes even borderline offensive, but that’s what makes it genius! They get away with it in such a clever way, breaking barriers and making an impact. I’d love to understand their creative process and how they strike that balance between risk and reward.
- My grandmother – She passed away when I was in my 20s but she was the epitome of strength and resilience. I’d love to share where my journey has taken me and learn more from her life experiences.
