SAVVI SPOTLIGHT: An Interview with Jess Redfern

Hello! I'm Jess Redfern, the host of the SAVVI Says Podcast with Jess Redfern and the founder and designer of SAVVI the Label. At SAVVI the Label, we celebrate bold women who are unapologetically creating their best lives. Our mission is to empower you with fashion that embodies confidence, ambition, and joy.

In addition to my role at SAVVI, I'm also the proud owner of National Disability Care, where we provide NDIS-funded respite and in-home support across Australia. Outside of the corporate world, I'm a mum to the coolest little man, Bobby, and the gorgeous little Florence. I'm married to Jack and am also the founder of Petal and Palm — a wonderland of decoration. Petal and Palm is both a brick-and-mortar store in Central West NSW and an online shop for homewares, artwork, fashion, and gifts.

I believe with every ounce of my being that every single person deserves to live a life they love and be proud of themselves along the way. New York is my favourite place, and I wear something pink every day (no exceptions!). When I'm not working, I love staying fit, going on holidays, and yes, I’m just a bit obsessed with setting and achieving goals or planning my next fabulous outfit.

What are you doing that your future self will be grateful for?

This is my favourite mantra and the basis of every choice I make. I am building a community that gives permission (not that you ever needed it) to create a life you are really proud of and to feel confident in every stitch of SAVVI the Label. I am focused on creating freedom of choice for my family and enjoying every minute of it. Each day, I work towards a future where my family and I can thrive and feel empowered to live life fully.

How would you describe your style in three words?

Statement, pink, and chic. My style is all about making bold choices that reflect confidence and happiness.

How do you map and track your goals?

I love a vision board, which helps me visually capture my dreams and aspirations. I also have monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals written down in my phone and displayed on my fridge so I see them every day. Keeping my goals visible keeps me motivated and on track.

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

If I could choose anyone, it would be my husband, Jack, and my two little babes. They are my favourite people in the whole world, and everything I do is to make sure I get to have dinner with them each night.

However, if I could add a few more seats at the table (it is my dinner party after all), I’d love to meet Emma Grede, Emma Isaacs, and Cara Alwill. I admire their confidence to lead, pivot, and build empires that truly reflect their beliefs and values. They’ve inspired me to believe that you don’t ever have to just fit into one box. Their fearlessness, innovation, and commitment to their vision have greatly influenced my approach to life and business.
